Al-Haji Nasr Kakembo - Bach in Tourism, MSc in Environmental Sci
Al-Haji Nasr Kakembo, our visionary CEO, brings a wealth of experience and passion to RBTS. With over two decades in the coffee industry, Nasr has worked tirelessly to elevate Uganda's coffee scene and empower local baristas.
After graduating with First class Honors degree in bachelor of tourism from Makerere University from the College go Agric and Envy Sci (CAES). I was inspired by my former academic instructors. Prof. J.B. Nyakaana who worked as former director in environmental science and Dr. Boonabaana Brenda who is currently among the great academician of our generation lecturing both Makerere and In USA who opened my eyes about the fruits of the hospitality business. Having passed out with good grades, I was able to win my first cleaning job at Java House Coffee shop Jinja as Steward (2018). Thanks to Java house for giving me this lower ranked job because from the WC I was able to analyze all the various hospitality departments and my soul got addicted to the barista corner
I chose to train at the barista counter immediately after my sink shift simultaneously, then I shifted to Mada Hotel and Nurture Africa Vocational School in Nansana. I played as Barista tutor for 2 years and helped a lot of innocent souls with skills in Barista dispersed to various parts of the world. Being their Head Barista for their affiliated Urban villager restaurants, I grew into A SEASONED veteran. I saw an influx of many youths inquiring for places of barista training thus a thirsty of barista school in Wakiso. This pushed me embark on long life changing journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to look for capital and fill my home thirsty
I worked in the Saudi Capital Riyadh which means Gardens named from its natural fertility provided by its location at the juncture of Wadis Hanifah and Al-Batha From the love and unconditional hospitality got from the Saudi citizens. I named my project Riyadh barista Training School

Your most welcome to our fortress. Over the past 7 years, I have been advising and collaborating with countless restaurant and hotel owners. I have witnessed both success stories and tales of "Would've" could've" should've. Believe me we transitioned into the world of coffee with plans of extending to different parts of Uganda to help all the youth who have a vision of coffee and personal growth but lack the specific knowhow and experience to bring it into fruition Through our rigorous educational experience, you gain the freedom to make informed decisions and take control of our journey. My own story is rooted in the ability to build and share coffee knowledge effectively. We invite you to join our classes and events to take your ambitions to the next level
